Orion Pictures picks up Svalta, from Stolen Pictures.

Production company Stolen Pictures, that’s owned and run by Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Miles Ketley, has inked a deal with Orion Pictures for a brand new horror movie.

The film pitch goes by the name of Svalta, and it follows a family on their summer holiday who go to a remote island in Sweden. There, they find a serial killer on the loose, one the locals of the island have no interest in helping save them from.

Nick Frost is penning the screenplay for the movie along with James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders. It’s still early stages for the project, with no news as of yet as to when production is set to begin, or whether Pegg and Frost will appear in front of the camera too. We’ll keep you posted as we hear more…
