Olivia Coleman plays a guitar-wielding nun in our first look at the third Paddington film. Check out the Paddington In Peru trailer below:
If you didnāt have āOlivia Coleman does The Sound Of Musicā on your Paddington In Peru bingo card, have you even been paying attention?
Paul Kingās first two installments owed a lot to the London-based Mary Poppins, so it only makes sense that the franchiseās first extended trip outside an urban metropolis would owe a debt to another 60s musical classic.
The already stacked cast from the first two is swelled by newcomers Olivia Coleman and Antonio Banderas alongside Emily Mortimer, whoās taking over Sally Hawkinsā role of Mrs Brown. The plot sees Paddington and the Browns taking a trip to (hold onto your hats) Peru to visit Imelda Stauntonās Aunt Lucy ā a journey which apparently takes an unexpected detour through a certain rainforest and a mountain or two.

āWeāre carrying a huge burden of expectation,ā director Dougal Wilson said at the trailerās London launch event, taking the reigns from franchise stalwart Paul King. His first feature in the directorās chair, Wilson made his name in the advertising world, helming six of retail giant John Lewisā famously sweet Christmas adverts.
āIt felt like an opportunity I couldnāt really turn down,ā he added when asked about the pressure of following up Paddington 2 with his first film.

Based off this trailer, though, it seems Paddingtonās slapstick antics have survived the directorial transition intact. Following a spot of bother in a photo booth, itās not long before the bear and the Browns are jetting off to Peru in search of Aunt Lucy ā who has apparently left Colemanās Home For Retired Bears on āsome sort of questā.
Weāre swapping dreary old London for the Amazon Rainforest, then, as Colemanās Mother Superior joins the gang alongside a swashbuckling Antonio Banderas to track the senior bear down. Coleman also gets out a guitar on a big hill, in a shot which looks rather familiar ā could a bit of a sing-song be on the cards?
Paddington In Peru arrives in UK cinemas from 8th November.
