Alan Ritchson returns for season three of Lee Child’s Reacher, and here’s the trailer for the show’s new episodes.
As entertaining as the Tom Cruise Jack Reacher films are, it is Alan Ritchson’s take on the character (based on the novels by Lee Child) which has garnered the most acclaim.
The first two seasons of Reacher were phenomenally successful for Amazon Prime Video, with each series adapting one of Lee Child’s bestselling novels.
The third season is doing the same, using Child’s book Persuader as its foundation. The synopsis reads as follows:
The third season finds Reacher thrust into a criminal enterprise in an attempt to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence while confronting some unfinished business from his own past.
Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten reprise their roles as Jack Reacher and Frances Neagley respectively. New additions to the cast include Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy, Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart and Olivier Richters.
Nick Santora also returns as showrunner and lead writer. Amazon has already commissioned Reacher for a fourth season, which is in production and will be released next year.
Earlier this year, Amazon confirmed that it was pressing ahead with a spin-off centered around Sten’s character Neagly. You can read the synopsis below:
Frances Neagley is a private investigator in Chicago and former military colleague of Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) in the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit. When she learns that a beloved friend from her past has been killed in a suspicious accident, she becomes hell bent on justice. Using everything she’s learned from Jack Reacher and her time as a member of the 110 Special Investigators, Neagley puts herself on a dangerous path to uncover a menacing evil.
Season 3 of Reacher will stream weekly on Amazon Prime Video from the 20th February.
