The short trailer for The Munsters is a throwback to the classic opening titles of the television series.
The first footage has landed for Rob Zombie’s upcoming reboot of The Munsters. It is clearly a project made with huge affection for the series that inspired it, as the teaser trailer copies the opening titles.
As Jack Marshall’s iconic theme music plays, we see Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster smashing clumsily through the front door, like Fred Gwynne before him, bemused at his own strength. Sheri Moon Zombie follows as Lily, then Daniel Roebuck’s Grandpa is last through the door.
Rob Zombie has written, produced and directed the film. No release date has yet been set, but with the release of this teaser, it can’t be far off.
