Ryan Reynolds is starring in, co-writing and producing the brand new comedy Boy Band, and here are the first details.
Bands have always been fertile ground for film comedies, from stone cold classics like This Is Spinal Tap to the underrated Still Crazy and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Now, Ryan Reynolds (pictured here in The Adam Project) is set to have a go too.
Reynolds is set to give his take on this subgenre with Boy Band. The plot is currently under wraps, though the story is said to be about a reunion. Heading into the world of boy bands where the wonderful Popstar previously firmly hit the mark is on the bold side.
Reynolds will reunite with director Shawn Levy, with whom he made Free Guy and The Adam Project. The pair are currently in pre-production on Deadpool 3. Reynolds also co-wrote the script with Me And Earl And the Dying Girl writer Jesse Andrews.
Boy Band is set to begin filming once work is complete On Deadpool 3, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
