The record breaking Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert film has finally been confirmed for UK release and tickets are now on sale.

Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift broke box office records when she announced her Eras tour would be released in cinemas. With combined ticket sales of over $65 million to date, and with a projected opening weekend of over $100 million, Swift is on track to have the highest grossing concert film in history. Bigger even than Little Mix’s LM5: The Tour Film (2020) and Runrig: The Last Dance (2019).

Directed by Sam Wrench, known for their work on Billie Eilish Live at the O2 and Lizzo: Live in Concert, The Eras Tour saw Swift eschew the studio system completely and produce the film herself.

Hollywood studios have certainly taken notice. The Exorcist: Believer and What Happens Later have shifted their release dates, with Universal and Bleecker St Media respectively seemingly unwilling to risk being caught up in what is expected to be a tidal wave of Taylor Swift momentum.

Taylor Swift’s Eras concert film will be released in UK cinemas from the 13th October. According to the ODEON website, adult tickets are £19.89, with child tickets at £13.13.

One UK chain that won’t be showing the film is Cineworld, who said in response to various queries on X (the site formerly known as Twitter), “Unfortunately we were not able to reach a commercial agreement with the distributor of Taylor Swift – The Era’s Tour and therefore will not be showing this at Cineworld cinemas”.
