Lionsgate announces plans to release The Courier this March – and here’s a bunch of new pictures from the upcoming movie.

It’s still – and this is some understatement – a little bit up in the air as to just when cinemas in the UK will open their doors once again. Still, some distributors are still programming movies this side of Easter, presumably with one eye on qualifying for this year’s assorted gongs. One movie that Lionsgate might just be hoping has a boost courtesy of the likes of the BAFTAs is The Courier.

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Merab Ninidze, Rachel Bosnahan and Jessie Buckley, this one’s directed by Dominic Cooke and tells the real life story of an under the radar British businessman – played by Cumberbatch – who, at the request of MI6, ends up playing a pivotal role in trying to defuse the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Lionsgate has now released a fresh collection of images for the movie, that you can find on this post. But also it’s announced that it plans to have the film in UK cinemas on March 19th 2021.

Obviously, everything remains up for change at the moment. In the meantime though, and presumably with a trailer not too far away, here’s that collection of images from the film. More on it as we hear it.
