Joanna Hogg’s continuation of the story from the acclaimed The Souvenir is nearly with us – and here’s a trailer.
British writer and director Joanna Hogg once again earned herself extensive acclaim for her last movie, in this case The Souvenir. Even as that film was being released though, it was known that she was going to be picking up the story of it in a direct continuation, which is going by the name of The Souvenir – Part II.
That follow-on is getting its debut in the US this October, although we’re going to have to wait until the new year for its UK release. On the casting side, it’s brought together Honor Swinton Byrne, Jaygann Ayeh, Richard Ayoade, Ariane Labed, James Spencer Ashworth, Harris Dickinson, Charlie Heaton, Joe Alwyn, and Tilda Swinton.
And now the first trailer for the film has landed, to give us a flavour as to what to expect. Expect this one too to land on lots of people’s top ten lists.
