Re-enacting The Goonies shot by shot is the subject of a new television series, thatā€™s once again moving forward. A while back, a potential television project bubbled up that would have followed the efforts of a teacher who gets her students to recreate the much-loved 1985 movie The Goonies. The TV show pilot was written by Sarah Watson, and for a while Fox was considering making it. Yet it ultimately passed on the idea, and that seemed to be that. But now Warner Bros’ TV arm has found a way to resurrect the series, and it’s gone and done a fresh deal with Disney+ to bring it all back to life. The series is now going by the name Our Time, and whilst it’d been rejected by Fox for ultimately aiming a little too young, that’s perfect fodder for Disney. Of course, we lost the director of The Goonies, Richard Donner, earlier this year. He’ll still be listed as an executive producer on the show, along with Lauren Shuler donner, Gail Berman, Heng Baghdady, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. There’s no timeline that we know of on the Our Time series, just that it’s now happening. When we get further word on its progress, we’ll let you know.
