Trailer lands for Coming 2 America, starring Eddie Murphy

Catch your first glimpse of Eddie Murphy’s return to New York as Prince Akeem of Zamunda: here’s the trailer for Coming 2 America. Amazon Studios has officially launched the trailer for Coming 2 America, the follow-up to the Eddie Murphy-starring Coming To America, in which a young Prince Akeem left his home country of Zamunda and navigated an unfamiliar New York in search of a bride. Many of the film’s original cast have returned, alongside some new players. As well as Murphy, Arsenio Hall and James Earl Jones will reprise their roles, alongside Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes, John Amos, Teyana Taylor, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Paul Bates, Nomzamo Mbatha and Bella Murphy. The film is helmed by Craig Brewer, who previously directed Murphy in 2019’s Dolemite Is My Name.  In the sequel, Prince Akeem must once more travel to America, this time before he takes on the mantle of King of Zamunda, to find a son in New York that he never knew of. Paramount originally developed and financed the film, before selling it to Amazon when the pandemic hit.
