The trailer lands for the eagerly-awaited new adaptation of the classic Frank Herbert novel Dune – and it looks like being the must-see blockbuster of the year.
Whilst doubts continue to rumble about whether the film will still launch in its slated Christmas spot, Warner Bros has released the first trailer for Dune, directed by the science fiction master, Denis Villeneuve. And as is to be expected from the helmer of Blade Runner 2049 and Arrival, it’s a visually beautiful sight to behold.
With Tenet's performance continuing to keep studios peering at its box office before deciding whether to stick or twist, there may be no certainties at this stage, but the release of the trailer shows that the studio are certainly keen to show off some of the amazing visuals and starry cast that we can expect to encounter when Dune does land.
Either way, when we do finally see Dune, it looks like it will be worth the wait.
Starring Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Jason Momoa, Stellan Skarsgard, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian and more, it should be quite the epic.
