Doug Liman’s latest film, set and shot during the pandemic, features Harrods, a diamond heist and a starry cast – and now we have a trailer.

In one of those increasingly predictable twists of fate we seem to be enjoying of late, it looks like we’ll be watching Doug Liman’s upcoming heist movie, Locked Down, whilst we ourselves are enduring the third such state of lockdown here in the UK. Furthermore, we’ll be seeing it before the release of his long shot previous movie, Chaos Walking, too.

Although no release date has been set over here as yet, Locked Down is set to premiere on HBO Max in the US on January 14th.

Still, we have a trailer to watch ahead of the film’s release.

The plot follows Anne Hathaway and Chiwetel Ejiofor who are enduring marital problems, compounded further by the fact that they are stuck together, unable to leave. However, when the opportunity to steal a £3m diamond presents itself, the pair abscond to posh department store, Harrods, to put their plan into action and save their relationship.

Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling and Sir Ben Kingsley all co-star as well, from a script written by Steven Knight.

When we hear word of a firm UK release date, you can be sure we’ll let you know. In the meantime, you can catch the trailer here.
