The reimagining of the classic horror Hellraiser drops the trailer for its upcoming return: see it here.

The upcoming Hellraiser remake has been described by its creators as a ‘loyal, yet evolved reimagining’. As the film’s release looms, we can get a glimpse of exactly what that means, with the launch of a trailer for the movie.

We do know that David S Goyer has penned the story, with The Night House’s David Bruckner directing. The casting of the series’ iconic antagonist, Pinhead is interesting too, with the character being portrayed by Jamie Clayton of The L Word.

Along with Clayton in the lead, the horror film will also star 13 Reasons Why’s Brandon Flynn, The Boys’ Goran Visnjic, Outer Banks’ Drew Starkey and  Everything’s Gonna Be Okay’s Adam Faison among others. The reboot, which comes to us courtesy of Spyglass Entertainment, is set for a release on the Hulu streaming service in the US, with no word as yet to what the release strategy might be here in the UK. We imagine it will release on Star on Disney+ but that’s not confirmed as of yet.

In the film, Odessa A’zion stars as ‘Riley, a young woman struggling with addiction and compulsive behaviour who comes in contact with the Lament Configuration puzzle box and unleashes chaos.’ As of right now, that’s all we’ve got to go on but you can tentatively pencil this one in for a Halloween viewing and in the meantime, you can catch the trailer below.
