British horror Little Bone Lodge is released in May, with Joely Richardson in the lead. Here’s the trailer. Plenty of horror films trade on the spookiness inherent in homes isolated from he rest of civilisation and the creepy/sociopathic/psychopathic people who inhabit them, from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre right up to date with X and Pearl. Little Bone Lodge is the latest entry in the genre. The official synopsis reads as follows: From the producers of 47 Metres Down and Fall comes a twisty horror thriller that will chill you to the bone. During a stormy night in the Scottish Highlands, two criminal brothers on the run seek refuge in a desolate farmhouse. But after taking the resident family captive, they find the house holds even darker secrets of its own. Colour Out Of Space star Joely Richardson plays the fearsome family matriarch who will stop at nothing to protect her kin and the shocking mysteries that surround their very existence. Joely Richardson headlines the film, alongside Neil Linpow, Sadie Soverall, Harry Cadby, Roger Ajogbe, and Euan Bennet. Matthias Hoene, who previously made the terrific Cockney’s Vs. Zombies, directs from a screenplay by Neil Linpow. Little Bone Lodge will be released on 22nd May.
