It’s filmmakers vs fiends in Wolf Manor, a brand new British horror film: here’s the first trailer for it.

Films about filmmaking are generally a good excuse for nostalgia, such as Hitchcock, or for charting the production of especially notorious movies, like The Disaster Artist’s portrayal of Tommy Wiseau’s quest to make The Room.

Wolf Manor looks set to lean into a more horrific element, evoking the likes of Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. Described as “full-throttle, gore-filled tale”, the synopsis reads…

During filming of a British, low-budget horror movie, the cast and crew begin disappearing. As the full moon rises, the nightmare begins, and the werewolf strikes.

The cast includes Vicar Of Dibley star James Fleet, Jay Taylor, Thaila Zucchi, Rupert Procter and John Henshaw.

Dominic Brunt directed the film from a screenplay by Joel Ferrari and Pete Wild.

Wolf Manor will be released on DVD and on streaming services on 9th January 2023.
