Scream writer Kevin Williamson is back with pandemic horror Sick, and here’s the first trailer for the film.

Kevin Williamson will always be associated with helping reinvigorate horror cinema in the 1990s with Scream. Since then, aside from the sequels, he’s made some interesting diversions – his directorial debut Teaching Mrs Tingle features a wonderfully acerbic performance from Helen Mirren and is well worth seeking out – and now he’s back with his first film as a writer since 2011’s Scream 4.

The short synopsis of Sick reads as follows:

As the pandemic steadily brings the world to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone—or so they think.

Gideon Adlon and Bethlehem Million headline the film, alongside Marc Menchaca and Jane Adams.

John Hyams, who helmed the surprisingly gory Universal Soldier sequels Regeneration and Day Of Reckoning directs from Williamson’s screenplay.

Sick will be released on streaming service Peacock on the 13th January. Watch the trailer below…
