Keira Knightley hunts a serial killer in Boston Strangler, a film heading to – of course! – Disney+. Here’s the trailer.
It’s been a little while since we’ve seen Keira Knightley in something new on screen, but she’s back next month with a new film landing on Disney+.
The official synopsis for Boston Strangler reads as follows:
Boston Strangler follows Loretta McLaughlin, a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta attempts to continue her investigation alongside colleague and confidante Jean Cole, yet the duo finds themselves stymied by rampant sexism of the era. Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line in their quest to uncover the truth.
Knightley stars as Loretta alongside Carrie Coon as Jean. Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, David Dastmalchian, Robert John Burke, Morgan Spector, and Bill Camp also star.
Matt Ruskin wrote and directed the film, with Ridley Scott among the producers.
Boston Strangler will be released in the UK on the STAR section of Disney+ on the 17th March.
