The story of a grieving mother’s burning quest for justice will arrive in cinemas this October: here’s the Till trailer.
MGM has revealed the trailer for Till, a film based on the true story of Mamie Till-Mobley and her quest to seek justice for her son Emmett Till, a 14-year-old Black teenager who was attacked and lynched in Mississippi in 1955. This shocking crime happened after the youngster was accused of upsetting a white woman in her family-run store.
The terrible nature of Till’s murder and his murderer’s acquittal by white jurors would call attention to the continued persecution of Black people in the US, and this story forms the basis of Till, which is set to launch in October.
Danielle Deadwyler, Whoopi Goldberg, Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Jayme Lawson, Tosin Cole, Kevin Carroll, Sean Patrick Thomas, John Douglas Thompson all feature, with Chinonye Chukwu directing. You can catch the film’s trailer below.
