The BBC has released a new look at Aardman’s latest outing – and things aren’t looking good for Britain’s most-beloved double act. Check out the Vengeance Most Fowl trailer below:

Somebody, call the police – probably the world’s most dangerous criminal, master-of-disguise Feathers McGraw, is back on our screens, as the BBC releases a cheeky new look at Aardman’s latest Wallace & Gromit caper, now confirmed to debut on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day.

16 years on from their last outing (2008’s A Matter Of Loaf And Death), the new feature-length animation finds a certain Wallace becoming overly reliant on his inventions. With a devilish maverick like Feathers lurking in the wings plotting revenge, that can hardly end in anything good…

Check out the new Vengeance Most Fowl trailer below. Go on, it’s only 30 seconds…

The trailer sets out its stall in pitch-perfect Aardman fashion, a haunting, overly dramatic organ soundtrack sliding into Bonnie Tyler’s 1984 hit, Holding Out For A Hero. Wallace, now dubbed by a zealous media as an “evil inventor” (the worst kind of inventor), seems to be in a spot of bother.

Personally, we’ll blame the circular saw-wielding garden gnome (Norbot) and his despicable mastermind, Feathers McGraw (shown here rotating in a spinny chair, the scoundrel), making his return for the first time since 1993’s BAFTA-winning The Wrong Trousers.

Add to that a perilous-looking train-on-a-bridge and a loose Gromit, Vengeance Most Fowl is looking like our dynamic duo’s most dangerous journey yet. Fingers crossed it’s a cracker…

Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl will debut on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on Christmas Day 2024.
