Zach Cregger’s Weapons has been one of the highlights of the cinematic year. Uncompromising in its vision, truly disturbing and a great show of skill from director Zach Cregger, Weapons has also been a major box office hit for Warner Bros.
If you’ve not been able to catch the film in cinemas for whatever reason, we’ve got good news for you. Weapons will be available to buy on digital from tomorrow (9th September) to watch from the comfort of your own home. Or discomfort, we don’t know your circumstances.
If you’re more of a physical media kind of person, not to worry. Weapons will be heading to Blu-ray on 27th October, just in time for Halloween. Combine it with Warner Bros’ other major horror hit Sinners and you’ve got yourself a pretty good movie night.
You can pre-order the Blu-ray here. Amazon is currently listing the movie as being released 31st December, but we have confirmation that Weapons is coming out on 27th October.
Weapons follows Julia Garner’s teacher whose entire class – except one boy – gets out of bed in the middle of the night and simply disappears. This sets her on a collision course with one of the parents, played by Josh Brolin. We wouldn’t dare to say more as Weapons is best experienced with as little information as possible.
We were very impressed with the film. In our review, we wrote: Horror films tend to elicit laughs from the audience anyway after jump scares as people come to terms with their own jumpiness, but Cregger has more control over our reactions here. We’re but victims to his tricks and I was loving every minute.
