Jessie Buckley and Julie Walters headline the incoming Wild Rose – and here’s the new American trailer for a special film.
Wild Rose is a movie that premiered on the festival circuit last year, and quickly won over those who saw it. It stars Jessie Buckley – so brilliant in last year’s Beast – as a young mother of two, fresh out of jail. She has an ambition: she wants to leave Glasgow behind and become a country singer in Nashville. This isn’t something that goes down a treat with her mum, played by Julie Walters. And then a character played by Sophie Okonedo (one hell of a cast this, right?) has something to say on the matter.
Tom Harper directs the film, that’s been confirmed for a release date of April 12th. There’s a school of though that suggests the following trailer gives perhaps a little bit too much of the game away, so venture forth at your own risk. The film, though, is very much one to add to your list…
Also to add to the trailer collection, an American promo for the film has just been released. And you can see that right here…
