An adventure at the Magic Kingdom that Disney won’t want you to be part of is coming our way: Stolen Kingdom.
Jackass Forever director Jeff Tremaine (pictured, left) will be documenting more mischief it seems, as it has been announced that he will be producing the upcoming feature-length documentary, Stolen Kingdom.
The film, which will be directed by first-time filmmakers Joshua Bailey and Sam Fraser, is set to chronicle ‘the 30-year history of wrongdoing and debauchery at Walt Disney World Resort, and how it led to the theft of an audio-animatronic valued at almost $500,000 on the black market.’
With Disney being very protective about its image, particularly the way in which its resorts are presented, we’re curious to see how this project will play out behind the scenes with the Mouse House and the army of legal professionals that it has on retainer. Considering that Tremaine is involved, we’re expecting a level of anarchic mayhem to be presented that would make Disney at least a little uncomfortable, but we’ll have to wait and see as to how this strory develops.
As well as helming Jackass Forever, Tremaine also executive produced Bad Axe, which took home the prize for Best Documentary at SXSW this year. We’ll bring you more on Stolen Kingdom as we hear it.
