A little bit of science fiction is on the cards for Edgar Wright.

In one of the interviews director Edgar Wright gave around the release of Baby Driver, he talked about wanted to make movies a little more frequently. The good news is he appears to be doing so.

Already later this year, we have Last Night In Soho to look forward to, but we now hear that he’s set his next project too. He’s tackling a science fiction film by the name of Set My Heart To Five, based on the novel by Simon Stephenson that’s arriving in stores later this year too.

Stephenson is set to pen the screenplay for the movie, that’s set in 2054. It features an android by the name of Jared who is introduced to the movies of the 80s and 90s, and thus has something of an emotional awakening. He heads off from there on a quest to write a movie screenplay to change the world.

Working Title, Focus Features and Complete Fiction Pictures have picked up the rights to the project, and we look forward to further developments. Wright also had a sequel to Baby Driver as one of his potential projects, so where it all fits together remains to be seen. We look forward to finding out.
