Set on 11th October 1975, Jason Reitmanās Saturday Night charts the chaos in the run-up to the first-ever episode of NBCās late-night comedy variety show Saturday Night Live. Real-life movie legends portrayed in the film include Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, and Jim Henson, and over the past half-century, the show has spawned plenty more movie stars and feature-length spin-offs too. With Reitmanās film now in UK cinemas, this weekās film is about SNLās imprint on the big screen.
