The late Michael Kamenās James Bond 007 score to Licence To Kill has been remastered and reissued: more here.
I’ve slapped myself on the wrist for not covering them much before, and thus I want to shed a light on the terrific work being done by Lalaland Records. This American label has been publishing full and limited film scores for a long time now, and its catalogue is quite brilliant. For us in the UK, the shipping cost tends to be prohibitive unless you’re doing a special order for a big birthday or something. But still, if you’ve had a bonus from work, and are looking for some superb scores – and they’ve not paid me a penny to say this – then I can’t recommend their work enough.
Case in point: the latest release is the score to Timothy Dalton’s second (and final) James Bond adventure, Licence To Kill. It’s from the late, great Michael Kamen, and the 5000 CD limited run featured a remastered version of the original score, additional music, and the original release too. It’s a double disc set with new liner notes as well.
For the first 90 days, you’ll only be able to buy the new CD from Lalaland Records or the official 007 store. You can find the listing for it at the former, here.
Do check out the sale section at the site too, which isn’t short of some good deals too. We’ll leave you with the blurb for the Licence To Kill release. What a film, too…
