Take a look at which films were successful at this years 2021 Oscars ceremony, with the full list of Academy Awards winners.
The Oscars have rolled around again, this time with Steven Soderbergh being given the enviable task of trying to raise falling audience numbers in a year when cinema really hasnā€™t been at the top of anybodyā€™s agenda. Nonetheless, the ceremony duly took place with Nomadland, The Father and Judas and the Black Priest doing particularly well. Perhaps the most surprising moment of the night was the late, great Chadwick Boseman not being honoured for his terrific final performance in Ma Raineyā€™s Black Bottom, with the gong going instead to Sir Anthony Hopkins for his role in The Father.  Chloe Zhao becomes only the second female director to win the Best Director prize. She told The Hollywood Reporter: ā€œsometimes a first feels like a long time coming ā€¦ I’m sure there are many others before me that deserve the same recognition. I just love what I do, I just really love it. If this means more people like me get to live their dream and get to do what I do, I’m happy.” You can catch the full list of winners and nominees below.
