Should the second A Quiet Place film hit big, director John Krasinski knows where he wants to take the series next.
Over the next week or two, horror thriller sequel A Quiet Place – Part II makes its way into the world. It stars Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy, with John Krasinski returning behind the camera. And in a conversation with Collider, Krasinski has reveal that plans are already afoot for a third film in the series.
“I genuinely hadn’t thought about a second one when I was doing the first one” he said. “However I really had these questions while I was doing it”.
Thus, he started to consider said questions (which are a little spoiler-y, so we won’t write them here), and the possible answers to them. “But I never thought that there would be a sequel”.
The first film provide to be a sizeable surprise hit, though, and thus the possibility to make a follow-up presented itself. Krasinski started answering those question. “And so this time, I think when my brain started wandering of questions of what would this mean later on, I started to write down notes in case I could prepare myself for a third one”.
Thus, plans are in place, should the second film hit big too, for a third instalment. But we’ll find out more about that after the new film lands in cinemas next week…
