Jesse Eisenberg’s Oscar-winning comedy drama A Real Pain is coming to Blu-ray and DVD in April. Find all the details below.

Jesse Eisenberg’s A Real Pain is headed to Blu-ray and DVD in April. The announcement comes just days after Kieran Culkin picked up an Oscar for his performance in the film and asked his wife to make another child in his acceptance speech. Culkin was the expected winner in his category, having won Best Supporting Actor at most awards ceremonies during the season and very deservingly so. In our review of the film, we said Culkinā€™s ā€œexplosive, devastatingā€ performance carries Eisenbergā€™s sophomore directorial effort.

A Real Pain will be available on Blu-ray and DVD from 7th April and you can pre-order a copy of either format here

Here’s a synopsis: Mismatched cousins, David and Benji, reunite for a tour through Poland to honour their beloved grandmother. The adventure takes a turn when the pairā€™s old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history.

Since its premiere at Sundance 2024, A Real Pain has been winning awards left, right and centre, especially for Culkin’s sensitive performance and Eisenberg’s sharp script. However, perhaps the highest honor bestowed upon Eisenberg is the official Polish citizenship thanks to the film. “This is an honor of a lifetime and something I have been very interested in for two decades,” Eisenberg said, as per Variety’s reporting.

The release doesn’t come with heaps of bonus materials but there is a featurette about the making of A Real Pain included, which will shine a light on the creative process.
