Jesse Eisenberg’s latest film as director, A Real Pain, is heading closer to release – and the new trailer for it has landed.
Emerging out of the Sundance Film Festival this year, perhaps the most buzz was focused on Jesse Eisenberg's directorial folllow-up to 2022’s When You Finish Saving The World.
Said follow-up film is called A Real Pain and follows cousins who travel to their grandmother’s native Poland to partake in a Holocaust tour. Searchight is backing the project and Succession's Kieran Culkin brings his energy to the line up alongside Eisenberg in front of the camera.
The positive buzz surrounding the film has only continued to grow in the six months or so since the film’s festival debut and it’s fair to say that we’re very much looking forward to this one.Seeing Eisenberg and Culkin squabble their way through Poland sounds fun, especially given that both the trailer and the synopsis suggests that there’ll be much more to unpack beyond biting sarcasm and flippant banter as the road movie unfolds.
Will Sharpe, Jennifer Grey, Kurt Egyiawan, Liza Sadovy and Daniel Oreskes co-star in the film which releases in just a few weeks in the US.
Unfortunately, we have to wait until early next year for the film’s UK release but given that we’ve been waiting for this one patiently since April when it stormed Sundance, we guess we wait another four months. Actually, that is quite a long time. If you need another glimpse of the movie to tide you over, the latest trailer for A Real Pain is below.
