A Second Chance is a documentary looking at an attempt to cut re-offending rates of released prisoners in the UK.
Making its way around independent cinemas in the UK at the moment is a new documentary by the name of A Second Chance.
It’s a film, produced by Justin Temple and Rex Bloomstein (with Bloomstein directing), that follows training academies run in the UK prison system by high street retailer Timpson. It’s a firm that openly employs ex-offenders, with over 600 working in its assorted stores around the country. And A Second Chance follows a pair of serving prisoners as they go through the company’s training programme, with a chance to rebuild their lives.
It’s a 90 minute feature documentary, that aims to zero in on attempts to cut the re-offending rate of released prisoners. And here’s the trailer for the film to give you a flavour of it.
