Footage of Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson screaming at each other is being used to scare off wolves in America.

Every now and then, we have the privilege of writing the greatest of movie-related stories here at Film Stories. Here’s a collection of words this writer could never have imagined they’d write in a professional setting.

The Hollywood Reporter has published a story taken from the Wall Street Journal about the American government using movies to help fight off predators. More specifically, the government is protecting cattle herds by playing audio of Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver screaming at each other in the movie Marriage Story

The scene is being blasted, alongside some music tracks, gunshots and fireworks, via drones in the American West where the wolf population has grown exponentially.

The idea behind the plan is that predators, specifically wolves, will learn that people are “bad” and they would be scared off and hopefully stay away in the future. So far, the plan has worked and there have been fewer dead cows as a result. Now that’s movie magic!

If the ruse continues to be successful, perhaps a bigger variety of films will be considered. Some choice scenes from films like Scarface, Jurassic Park and Taxi Driver might work rather well.
