If Star Wars can have a day, why can’t the Alien saga? Well, turns out it can. Even as the next film in the franchise, Alien: Romulus, is shooting, plans are afoot for April 26th.

That’s been designated as Alien Day, in tribute to LV-426, the world where cinema’s most famous xenomorphs were first discovered. And as a special treat – we certainly don’t remember this happening last year – there’s a chance to watch the first two movies in the saga on the big screen.

Park Circus will be releasing, for one day only it seems, both Alien from Ridley Scott and Aliens from James Cameron into UK cinemas on April 26th. Quite the double bill that, and we’re expecting a decent spread of sites around the UK to pick the screenings up.

Expect ticket preorders to start happening soon. Wonder if next year they’ll line Alien 3 up as well?
