Young people have a chance to gain valuable experience at this year’s London Film Festival: more details here.
The BFI London Film Festival will run from Wednesday 5th October to Sunday 16th October, 2022. Showcasing a range of talent from around the world, this year’s festival is set have everything from the premieres of eagerly awaited films like Knives Out: Glass Onion and the big screen take on the musical Matilda to work from first time directors and much, much more. The full programme of films will be released on the 1st September.
Young film fans have a chance to get in on the acti0n with the BFI Film Academy. Open to people aged between 18 and 25, the scheme allows young writers the chance to cover the festival and gain valuable experience in the world of film journalism. Over 25-year-olds in full-time education with a desire to build a career in film and in possession of a valid student ID can also apply.
Some of the perks include:
- personalised delegate page with downloadable PDF festival badge
- in-person press and industry screenings
- the industry programme of in-person panels and talks
- public weekday matinee screenings (subject to availability and at the discretion of box office staff)
- in-person Film Academy programme of industry and networking events.
It costs £35 and there are only a limited number available, so it’s worth applying as early as possible
