Aubrey Plaza has signed up to star in a film where she turns to the dark side – apparently with deadly consequences.
Aubrey Plaza, star of the fantastic Ingrid Goes West and the recently-released Black Bear continues to make interesting career choices. She is set to hit our screens next in September, barring further delays, opposite Micheal Caine in the indie flick, Best Sellers, and has signed up to take on The Statham in Guy Ritchie’s next action movie, which is yet to shoot.
Now though, Plaza is revisiting her indie roots once again, having signed up for Emily The Criminal. The film will reportedly follow ‘Emily, who is down on her luck and saddled with debt who gets involved in a credit card scam that pulls her into the criminal underworld of Los Angeles, ultimately leading to deadly consequences.’
The film will also star Gina Gershon and Megalyn Echikunwoke, with John Patton Ford writing and directing for his feature-length debut. Plaza is on something of a roll at the moment when it comes to selecting great roles in impressive films, so Emily The Criminal will be well worth tracking. More as we get it.
