James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way Of Water is heading to physical media in June, including a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc.

Six months after its cinema release, it’s now been confirmed that you’re going to be able to buy James Cameron’s latest juggernaut – Avatar: The Way Of Water – on physical media. Disney has dated the movie on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, for release in the UK on June 25th 2023.

That’s a Sunday, incidentally, so don’t be surprised if the date is updated to the 26th.

The film will be on the Disney+ streaming platform by that time, yet there’s been a fresh onus on physical media given the Disney deletions from its streaming platform. As such, a 4K disc in particular might be just the investment for fans of the film.

The Blu-ray and 4K discs come with three hours of extra features too, too many to list on the back of the box by the looks of it.

You can find more information on the release, and order a copy, right here.

An announcement is expected in due course about Avatar coming to the 4K disc format later in the year (it’s expected in June as well), along with other James Cameron films Titanic, True Lies and The Abyss (which are all due in the second half of 2023).
