Joel Schumacher’s pair of Batman films are getting new 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook collector’s editions in March: more details here.

How dedicated a collector are you? Warner Bros is just about to put that to the test, with the confirmation of two new Steelbook releases for the most ungood of the Batman movies.

1995’s Batman Forever and 1997’s Batman & Robin have been selected by the studio that cancelled the Batgirl film for Steelbook 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray releases. Both will carry over the discs from the existing 4K discs that are already on sale, but now you can get the thuddingly shit duo – other opinions are available – in posh new packaging.

Each comes with cards, a booklet and a Steel case, although in spite of being billed as Ultimate Collector’s Editions, there still seems to be a fair amount missing from Forever at least. The Joel Schumacher cut may yet be a thing, but it’s not on this disc.

Still, if you’re a collector, these look posh, and have Warner Bros 100th birthday branding on them too.
