After a brief, sold out Steelbook appeared, Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm is getting a full UK 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release.
Not for nothing is 1993’s Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm regarded as one of the very best big screen adventures for the Caped Crusader. The animated film features the late Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman, with Mark Hamill as The Joker, and the movie’s directed by Bruce Timm. Genuinely, if you’ve not had the pleasure, it’s brilliant.
It’s also been the recipient of a surprise 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release, and it arrived in the UK via a sold out Steelbook edition, that appeared to be exclusive to HMV. Came and went quickly, that one.
However! The good news is that there’s now a regular edition, which is the same release, just in a case that won’t now set off an airport metal detector. It’s set to land on October 23rd 2023, and won’t be a HMV exclusive anymore either. Nothing against HMV. Well, apart from that time they ghosted us, but moving on.
No details of extras that we can find, but more details on the release can be found here (and you can order a copy there as well).
And if you’ve not seen the film? You’re in for an absolute treat…
