Independent animation studio Cloudrise Pictures – made up of just one director/writer/animator – is crowdfunding to finish The Worlds Divide.
Denver Jackson is a director, writer and animator who founded Canadian independent animation studio Cloudrise Pictures. Jackson is the company’s sole animator, and in recent years has made several shorts, a web series and feature film Esluna: The Crown Of Babylon.
Jackson is currently in the midst of making a second feature, named The Worlds Divide, and has posted on Twitter announcing a crowdfunding campaign to complete the film.
Used all my life savings to survive 2yrs while I animate 14-18hrs/day, 7days/wk, for the duration of production. Also paid out of pocket thus far spending 35k. Not accounting for my time, budget of this film is 35k. No savings left & need help finishing! https://t.co/JgB2FRdFr3 pic.twitter.com/okEkHAakyb

In the tweet, Jackson says that over the last two years all of his life savings have been spent on the production, and that any funds donated through Kickstarter will go towards funding music composers, a sound mix and voice actors. The animation itself is almost complete, and the director and animator is working on The Worlds Divide for free.
Here’s the movie’s synopsis:
The Worlds Divide is an action-packed, scifi film set in two worlds. One, a dystopian cyber-punk future and the other, the lush fantasy world of Esluna. The adventure story features a girl named Natomi who is sent to the world of Esluna, where she and her new found friends try to navigate this new world in attempts to get to her father, a god of this world, before she is hunted and killed by the ruthless queen.
