Ewen Bremner takes the lead in Creation Stories, a film that’s also a mini-Trainspotting reunion.
The story of Creation Records – the label founded by Alan McGee that released music from the likes of Oasis – is on its way to the movies. Filming started this week on Creation Stories, a film telling the story of the label.
Executive produced by Danny Boyle, the film has been written by Irvine Welsh, and Nick Moran is in the director’s chair. Furthermore, Ewen Bremner is leading the cast as Alan McGee, and alongside him are the likes of Rupert Everett and Suki Waterhouse.
Bremner, Boyle and Welsh, of course, were key parts of the Trainspotting team.
Filming continues for the next few weeks, but the bulk of production being centred at Elstree Studios. A release is expected next year, although no date has thus far been announced.
