Kenneth Branagh and his amazing fake moustache return for Death On The Nile ā and hereās the first trailer for the film.
Arriving in cinemas this October is Kenneth Branagh’s second big screen adaptation of an Agatha Christie Poirot story. Following the success of Murder On The Orient Express, Branagh has now tackled – as teased in the first film – Death On The Nile. Once again he takes the role of Poirot in the movie, as well as directing the film.
There’s not been too much times in the last few months where we’ve been able to say that a trailer has landed for a studio film, but 20th Century Studios has indeed released the first for the star-laden feature.
In the ensemble for this one, alongside Branagh? Pretty much everyone. Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Annette Bening, Letitia Wright, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Rose Leslie, Tom Bateman, Sophie Okonedo, Emma Mackey, Ali Fazal and Russell Brand are all in the feature, and here’s what that trailer looks like…
Furthermore, the official synopsis reads as follows…
Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.
The film lands in UK cinemas on Friday 9th October. More as we hear it.
