Uh oh, something is wrong with the TARDIS in the new trailer for Doctor Who season 2. Or season 15, whichever you want to go with.

A new Doctor Who season is almost upon us! There’s only a couple more weeks to go before the TARDIS will scoop all of us up on a mind-boggling adventure across the galaxy and to help with our impatience, a new trailer for Doctor Who season 2 has been released. Or season 15, if you like.

Take a look below:

It seems the TARDIS might be broken in the trailer. Perhaps the Doctor forgot its MOT? We also meet the Doctor’s new companion Belinda, who has been gone from Earth for six months, but thinks she’s been gone for a couple of hours. Oh, and there’s a Eurovision episode! Rylan is hosting the Interstellar Song Competition and at least in outer space the UK can’t receive zero points.

Ncuti Gatwa will be wielding the sonic screwdriver around yet again as the fifteenth Doctor and will be joined by Varada Sethu as Belinda Chandra and Millie Gibson returns as Ruby Sunday, who is looking very solemn in the trailer.

Russell T. Davies is on showrunning duties again and all of the episode titles for season 2 were announced yesterday. You can watch the new Doctor Who season on the BBC iPlayer or BBC One in the UK, while other countries can travel on the TARDIS courtesy of Disney+.

We’ll leave you with the full synopsis for the new season: This spring, audiences will join the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) on an epic quest to get Belinda back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-travelling TARDIS team must face great dangers, ferocious enemies and wilder terrors than ever before.
