Filming has wrapped on British thriller The Stoic, and here are the first details of the Jason Flemyng-headlined film.

Jason Flemyng has been a stalwart of British cinema for over 20 years, from his collaborations with Guy Ritchie to starring alongside Jackie Chan and Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Iron Mask.

He’s now headlining indie thriller The Stoic, which has just wrapped production in Wales. Flemyng stars alongside Bruce Payne as a pair of ruthless mercenaries who hole up in a dingy, deserted cottage after completing a drugs raid. Things take a turn for the worse when they encounter the titular character, played by Scott Wright, who turns out to be from an ancient clan of smugglers.

Also in the cast are Stuart Brennan, Rocci Boy Williams, Jarreau Benjamin, George McCluskey and Mia Vore.

Jonathan Eckersley, who served as first assistant director on the likes of The Railway Children Return and Line Of Duty makes his directorial debut from a script he wrote.

The Stoic is expected to be released later this year, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
