FX has released the very first teaser trailer for their upcoming TV show Alien: Earth and it stars everyone’s favourite perfect organism. Take a look below.

Trailers have changed enormously since I was a kid or even a teenager. There were no such things as teaser trailers and I also don’t remember trailers being so bloomin’ long as they are today.

That being said, the new teaser trailer for Alien: Earth is pretty good for a teaser trailer. We won’t say any more on it, we’ll just let you take a look below.

Lasting only 15 seconds ā€“ arguably the perfect length for a ‘teaser’ ā€“ the trailer gives us a look at Earth as reflected on the surface of the Xenomorphs head. It’s brief, it’s simple, but as it’s coming hot on the heels of Alien: Romulus, the excitement is there.

There’s also an official synopsis to go with the teaser trailer: When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley.

Chandler is reportedly playing a character called Wendy, who isn’t quite human but not quite android either. According to Bloody Disgusting, Wendy is “a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.” Timothy Olyphant is said to be playing Wendy’s synth mentor.

The rest of the cast is formed of Essie Davis, Babou Ceesay, Alex Lawther, Adrian Edmondson, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, David Rysdahl, Samuel Blenkin, Adarsh Gourav, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, and Moe Bar-El.

There’s still no set release date for Alien: Earth, just a promise that it’ll hit our screens in 2025. In the meantime, we’ve done a more exhaustive list of what we do and don’t know about Noah Hawley’s upcoming series, which you can read here
