Mission: Impossible 8 may be delayed, but the series’ seventh entry is taking shape with new casting announcements arriving.
We know that Tom Cruise’s busy schedule was the reason that
Mission: Impossible 8 didn’t end up shooting back-to-back with the now-wrapped
Mission: Impossible 7. The superstar is needed to ramp up promotional duties on the upcoming
Top Gun: Maverick, meaning production on the franchise’s eighth instalment has been delayed to later this year. News continues to roll in regarding the
next film in the series however, with five new names being revealed for
Mission: Impossible 7's cast list.
What’s more, there’s some really intriguing talent in there too.
Director Christopher McQuarrie announced the names on social media yesterday. Cary Elwes, Indira Varma of
Game Of Thrones, Rob Delaney (
Deadpool 2), the mighty Mark Gatiss and Charles Parnell, star of
All My Children, will all feature in the upcoming seventh film, and potentially beyond given the series’ penchant for bringing back characters from pervious chapters.
Mission: Impossible 7 is due to release in cinemas this November. The newly revealed actors will join an already-impressive ensemble of Tom Cruise, Vanessa Kirby, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Angela Bassett, Ving Rhames, Pom Klementieff and Hayley Atwell.
We’ll bring you more news on the upcoming
Mission: Impossible films as we hear it.
