It’s time to return to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in the first Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 trailer. You can watch it here:

The Five Nights At Freddy’s fever doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The films are based on Scott Cawthon’s series of videogames, in which you play as a security guard has to survive (you guessed it) five nights at a pizzeria haunted by deadly animatronic puppets. That might sound easy, but, trust us, it’s not.

The first film adaptation, released in 2023, made a sizable profit, mostly thanks to the source’s wide appeal. Critics weren’t too keen on Five Nights At Freddy’sincluding us – but that didn’t stop Blumhouse from greenlighting a sequel.

That sequel is now almost with us, and the first trailer has arrived online, promising another scarefest.

Here’s the first Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 trailer:

Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail return as night guard Mike and police officer Vanessa, who are still reeling from their terrifying ordeal at Freddy Fazbear’s. We can’t really blame them; we wouldn’t get over giant puppets trying to kill us that easily either. Unlike the adults in her life, Mike’s younger sister Abby still misses her murderous animatronic friends.

Naturally, after being contacted by them, Abby returns to the haunted pizzeria and we can only assume bad things happen. Otherwise, this would be one boring horror film.

Here’s a proper synopsis:

One year has passed since the supernatural nightmare at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The stories about what transpired there have been twisted into a campy local legend, inspiring the town’s first ever Fazfest.

Former security guard Mike (Josh Hutcherson) and police officer Vanessa (Elizabeth Lail) have kept the truth from Mike’s 11-year-old sister, Abby (Piper Rubio), concerning the fate of her animatronic friends.

But when Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.

Emma Tammi, who also helmed the first film, is returning to direct the sequel. Jason Blum and Cawthon serve as producers. Skeet Ulrich has also joined the cast, meaning he’ll be reunited with his Scream co-star Matthew Lillard who plays William Afton in the films.

Five Night’s At Freddy’s 2 is scheduled to be released in cinemas 5th December.
