Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen return for Book Club: The Next Chapter – here’s the new trailer.
Book Club was a big hit back in 2018. Despite critical indifference, the film grossed over $100m on a budget of just $14m. It followed four female friends as they read Fifty Shades Of Grey for their monthly book club.
The synopsis for Book Club: The Next Chapter reads as follows:
The highly anticipated sequel follows our four best friends as they take their book club to Italy for the fun girls trip they never had. When things go off the rails and secrets are revealed, their relaxing vacation turns into a once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure
Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen star once again, alongside Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, plus Craig T. Nelson, Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie, and Vincent Riotta.
The same creative team is back behind the camera too, with Bill Holderman directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Erin Simms.
Book Club: The Next Chapter is due to be released on 12th May 2023.
