Edger Wright’s eagerly-awaited Last Night In Soho is with us next month – and the new trailer for the film has just landed. Ahead of its October release, the full trailer has been released for the upcoming Last Night In Soho. Director Edgar Wright co-wrote the film alongside the 1917 scribe, Krysty Wilson-Cairns. The duo recently spoke about collaborating on the film, and you can find our report on that here. In short though, Wright’s films always work on several levels, and it seems that Last Night In Soho will be no different, with Wright stating “it’s a bit of a cautionary tale of nostalgia. It’s about the dangers of romanticising the past. Last Night In Soho is really about that idea of ‘be careful what you wish for’”. The film, which stars Anya Taylor-Joy, tells of how ‘an aspiring fashion designer is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s, where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer. However, the glamour is not all it appears to be, and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.’ It’s an intriguing setup, and the cast is exciting too, with Thomasin McKenzie, Matt Smith, the late Diana Rigg and Terence Stamp all featuring. Pretty soon, we’ll have a chance to add our own thoughts to the conversation, with the film set to release on October 29th. Frankly, we can’t wait.
