You’ll be able to see Gremlins right across the UK in cinemas this December.
Ready to feel nice and young? Well, celebrations are underway for the 35th birthday of the first Gremlins movie. The film lands on the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format this autumn, and we now learn that a major cinema re-release is being planned.
We’re used to seeing independent cinemas programming a showing or two of Gremlins each Christmas. But this year, on Friday 6th December, the film will be heading onto 300 screens around the UK. That’s the most it’s been on since the film was first released all that time again.
Whether this is a one-day special or available until Christmas remains to be seen. We’re looking very much in the direction of enterprising independent cinemas who programme the film as a double bill with its glorious sequel…
