Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville is releasing his memoir, Playing Under The Piano: From Downton To Darkest Peru, in November.
Hugh Bonneville’s memoir being released on 8th November this year, and is now available to preorder. Titled Playing Under The Piano: From Downton To Darkest Peru, the novel will cover Bonneville’s entire career – from his first role in a school nativity all the way to his most famous work on stage and screen.
Described as “moving” and “laugh-out-loud”, Bonneville’s musing will include his experiences working with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, including Judi Dench, Julia Roberts, and Robert De Niro. It’s also a serious account of his life, though, and features an in-depth discussion of dealing with his father’s dementia and his mother’s career in the secret service, which only emerged after her death.
Bonneville’s recent roles include reprising the character of Robert Crawley in Downton Abbey: A New Era, and playing Mr. Brown in the Paddington films. He’s set to go back to the role for a third time in the upcoming Paddington In Peru.
