Indiana Jones is heading to the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format this summer, with a boxset heading our way this coming June.
Well, this is great news. Not only do we have another Indiana Jones film underway and set to land next year, but it’s also been announced that Paramount will be releasing all four original Indiana Jones movies in a 4K boxset, the first time that the adventures of Dr Jones have been available in the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format.
The picture quality, remastered from 4K scans of the original negative, comes with director Steven Spielberg’s approval and the sound has been remixed by Ben Burtt and Skywalker Sound. Not to mention, there’s seven hours of previously-released bonus footage included too.
You’ll be able to get your mitts on this on June 8th in the US – we’re just awaiting the UK release dates at the moment.. Obviously, you could order it online but frankly, we’re planning on taking a weighted bag of sand into a shop and trying a Raiders-style switcheroo. (Before taking it to a counter and paying for it, just to be clear.)
Here’s a list of the bonus materials confirmed thus far…
